A Closer Look at Culture

Revolution is Not a Dinner party is not one of your average everyday cliche novels you may read every so once in a while. This book is filled with many intriguing events using several genres starting from drama to horror however, the most important outlook upon this book is where the book is originating from, to be more specific what is the culture of this book. In cases such as these, the book is originating from China roughly around the year of 1966 and 1976. During this time period in China, Mao Zedong was preparing to mark his position of power in China after the failed " Great Leap Forward". This event in history was a social and economic campaign to rapidly transform the country China, from an agrarian economy to a communist society. As I've said before Mao Zedong was preparing to take power in China which was a big. This movement was huge because, it could significantly paralyze China politically and affected the country economically and socially. Yet did anyone know it did as such, and China then fell into a great famine.
